Esan West stood still as Rt. Hon. Jonathan Ibhamawu declares his intention to run for a second term in office
It was a gala afternoon in Ekpoma on Thursday, April 30, 2026, as Rt. Hon. Jonathan Ibhamawu, the Majority Leader of Edo State House of Assembly formally declared his noble intention to run for a Second Term in office.
The ceremony which attracted people from all walks of life was panoramically kaleidoscopic. Traffic managers had a hectic time controlling the traffic, and the joyful noise that rented the air was pleasantly deafening.
As Rt. Hon. Jonathan took to the floor to take his jubilant constituents through the catalogue of his achievements, Esan West stood still for him. Intermittently, joyful noise rented the air, and the people fell into uncontrollable ecstasy. They had never seen a lawmaker posting such a monumental human and infrastructural development outside their core responsibility of making laws.
Even more interesting was the glorious vision he shared for his Constituency if reelected. Hon. Jonathan has done it before, he will do it again. There’s no doubt that with Hon. Jonathan, Esan West is in safe hands, its future is bright, and it’s time to shout “Eureka! We have found it”
