The Airport Police Command has arraigned a 47-year-old man, Mark Agbor, before a court of competent jurisdiction for impersonation and unauthorized entry into restricted areas after he allegedly posted a video online claiming ownership of two military combat helicopters and putting one up for sale.
Agbor, an employee of Pathfinders International Limited, was apprehended following joint investigative efforts between security agencies.
The suspect was initially intercepted by the Provost Investigation Unit of the Nigerian Air Force, Ikeja, before being transferred to the International Division of the Airport Police Command for detailed investigation and prosecution.
Police findings established that on October 7, 2026, the suspect recorded and published a video across various social media platforms in which he falsely presented himself as the owner of two military combat aircraft, advertising one of the helicopters to prospective buyers online.
Following the conclusion of preliminary police investigations, he was formally charged in court, with proceedings now adjourned to November 18, 2026.
Reacting to the incident, the Commissioner of Police for the Airport Police Command, CP Ogunbode Olufunke, warned that actions of this nature carry grave security implications and are capable of undermining critical national security operations.
She reaffirmed the command’s commitment to protecting vital aviation infrastructure and praised the robust inter-agency collaboration between the police and the Nigerian Air Force that led to the suspect’s arrest and prosecution.
CP Olufunke also issued a strong call to corporate organizations and private stakeholders operating within the aviation sector, urging them to implement stricter employee vetting, background checks, and continuous screening procedures to prevent security breaches and safeguard sensitive airport environments.
