Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, has admonished Nigerians to impact positively on lives of others in order to attain greatness
Speaking at the 60th birthday celebration of Bar. Mrs Caroline Ibharunafe, President African Women Lawyers Association, over the weekend in Lagos, Governor Aiyedatiwa, while extoling the sterling qualities of Bar. Ibharunafe declared, that in this era of social media and distractions all over, she has continued to touch so many lives positively with her profession
The Governor lamented that technology was supposed to enhance business and operation, but stated that these days they use it to disrupt a lot of things, creating all kinds of friction and crisis everywhere.
According to Gov Aiyedatiwa, in the midst of slandering and lining and all kinds of falsehood being pushed out and the world being driven by haste and noise, Bar. Ibharunafe has distinguished herself as one who values wisdom, loyalty, integrity, and thoughtful engagement.
“So today, we celebrate not merely the age of a woman, but the substance of her character, the strength of her conviction, and the impact of her contribution to the society. This celebration is neither ornamental or nor an exaggeration. It speaks to a woman whose life has been shaped by deep reflection, profound influence, and an abiding commitment to human relationships”
“Caro belongs to that rare class of individuals who understand that true success is measured not merely by personal accomplishments—she has some—but by the number of lives uplifted along the way. Through her professional engagements and unwavering support for worthy causes, she has earned the respect and admiration of many across different walks of life”
”And along the line, you have met so many people including myself. You touched many lives by the profession you practice, those you’ve been standing for to advocate on their behalf, you know, to also do some other transactions with integrity. So, many lives have been touched through”. Said the Governor.
The Ondo state Governor noted that for others at 60, marked a slowing down but described the former Vice Chairman of Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja branch at 60 as the beginning of a higher season of influence, wisdom, legacy, and higher responsibility
“For some, 60 signals a slowing down. But for a woman of vision that you are, it marks the beginning of . You see, the chairman talked about first lady, you don’t know, it’s a higher responsibility”
The Governor reminded all her well wishers that greatness was not defined by how long one lives, but how well one lives and not by titles acquired, but by values preserved.
“Not by possessions accumulated, but by lives positively impacted.”
Gov Aiyedatiwa on behalf government of Ondo state congratulated Barrister Caroline Ibharunafe on attaining the significant milestone.
To celebrate her personal accomplishment with her the Governor also saluted her contribution to society and honour the values for which she is known.
The Ondo state Governor prayed God to bless bless her with good health, divine favour, wisdom, peace, and greater accomplishments as she steps into next chapter of life
